He may also deduct the\u00a0tax\u00a0by detaining\/selling goods that belong to the defaulter which are\u00a0under\u00a0his control. Furthermore, the officer may also produce the notice to people who owe money to the defaulter and ask them to pay the\u00a0tax\u00a0amount. He may also indicate the date on which the money should be spent.<\/p>\n

The officer is also empowered to\u00a0recover\u00a0the\u00a0tax\u00a0by detention or sale of the property owned by the\u00a0tax\u00a0defaulter. He may detain the assets as long as the\u00a0taxes\u00a0are not paid.\u00a0In\u00a0case the money is not spent until 30 days of detention of property then the officer is authorized to sell the property for recovering\u00a0the money. He is liable to pay the excess balance amount earned from the sale back to the defaulter.<\/p>\n

The collector of the respective district may be sent by the officer\u00a0in\u00a0connection with\u00a0tax\u00a0recovery\u00a0along with a certificate which states the due amount. The collector shall treat this as a land revenue collection drill.\u00a0In\u00a0particular cases, the officer may also approach the magistrate to\u00a0recover\u00a0the tax. The magistrate can,\u00a0in\u00a0turn, consider it as a beautiful collection.<\/p>\n
